Mozmi Privacy Policy

When you use our services, you are trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and we work hard to protect your information and entrust to keep it secure. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand What information we collect, Why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information. This Policy provides an overview of how “Mozmi", together with its partners, affiliates (collectively hereinafter referred to as “Mozmi” ), collects the information of “data subjects” (hereinafter referred to as “You or your”) personal data, how it handles it and how it protects your privacy. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Mozmi and/or affiliates.

Mozmi will be processing the personal information you've shared in accordance with given instructions and in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By personal data we mean identifiable information about you, such as your name, email address, geographical postcode, mobile and home telephone. If you create a profile as a driving instructor on our platform then we will collect and store any personal data included in that profile.

We shall process all such personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

How We Collect Data

We collect your personal data when you:
  • Use our platform:
  • create an account on Mozmi and register either as a Learner or Instructor
  • When you book an appointment through our platform.
    The information we collect / you provide, such as name, telephone, address is sent to the business for confirmation of the appointment. It may also be used to communicate rescheduling or cancellation of the appointment. In addition we may use the information to contact you for any other matters relating to your account
  • Leave feedback or a review;
  • get in touch with us with queries, comments or complaints.

Data Accuracy

  • All personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate.
  • In the event of providing false and misleading data, we may record this and report to the appropriate authorities, as per legal obligations
  • When you contact us by email or post, we may keep a record of the correspondence.
  • Our In-App payment services are provided by Paypal and Stripe, our payment service providers, and we do not therefore process any financial data of a learner driver and/or a driving instructor.

Data removal

If at any point you would like us to modify or remove the information we have collected or share it with you, you may let us know at team@mozmi.co.uk


How we use your data

You understand and agree that Mozmi may access and process your personal data such as name, telephone, email and address for following reasons:

  • To provide personal data about a driving instructor to a learner driver
  • To provide personal data about a learner driver to a driving instructor on a new booking request. We shall only do so to the extent necessary under our Driving Instructor Terms and Learner Driver Terms as appropriate.
  • to send confirmation of appointments and cancellations;
  • to respond to your requests for customer service; and
  • to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Mozmi users
  • The driving instructor will also ensure protection of a learner driver’s personal data provided through the app
  • Furthermore, all Driving instructors agree that their profile, and personal data in their profile, is accessible by all users of the Mozmi.

Security

We shall process your personal data in a secure manner. We assure you we take all appropriate measures to protect your personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. However, unfortunately, because of the nature of electronic storage, we cannot guarantee against events outside of our control. In the event of any security breach, we will do all that we can to stop the breach and minimise the loss of any data.

Marketing

  • You may consent to receive marketing email messages from us.
  • You can choose to no longer receive marketing emails from us by contacting us or clicking unsubscribe from a marketing email. Please note that it may take us a few days to update our records to reflect your request.
  • If you ask us to remove you from our marketing list, we shall keep a record of your name and email address to ensure that we do not send to you marketing information. If you still have an account with us, we shall continue to email you in relation to your account only.

Your Rights

You have a number of rights under applicable data protection legislation.
  • Right to Erasure: If you request that we delete information associated with your account, we will do so within a reasonable period of time, but we may need to retain some of your Personal Information in order to satisfy our legal obligations, or where we reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.
  • Right of access: You have the right to obtain from us a copy of the personal data that we hold for you.
  • Right to rectification: You can require us to correct errors in the personal data that we process for you if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Right to restriction of processing: In certain circumstances, you have the right to require that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
  • Right to stop receiving marketing information: You can ask us to stop sending you information about our services, but please note we shall continue to contact you in relation to any matters relating to your account, if you have one.
  • As part of the app account functionality, you have the ability to access and update most categories of Personal Information that you provided to us on registration. You can do this by logging into your account and accessing your account settings. If you wish to amend or erase any other Personal Information that you have provided to us, or that may have been collected from you, please send us an email with your full name, your email and telephone number Please send this information to the Office of Governance, Risk and Compliance at team@mozmi.co.uk

Data Retention

Subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy, we will retain personal data in accordance with applicable laws. In particular, we shall retain your personal data for as long as you access or use our services. However, we may also be required to retain personal data for a particular period of time to comply with legal, auditory or statutory requirements.

General

Our platform may contain links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the content of those website, and if you provide any information to that website, then this privacy policy does not apply. You should check the third-party website to find the applicable privacy policy. If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall be construed, as nearly as possible, to reflect the intentions of the parties and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
